HIGHLIGHTS

  • New Deadlines & Targets Calendar. A full-screen calendar that shows all your deadlines, targets and tasks in one place, and can also show scheduler entries.

  • New Pool Jobs screen. A faster, easier way to see the jobs waiting in the pool and take one with a single click.

  • New wizards for alerts and automatic job progressions. Setting up automated alerts and job progressions is now a guided, step-by-step process with built-in checks.

  • Office-level email sending rules. Each office can now have its own "from" name, "from" address and signature for emails sent by Glide.

  • Clear Xero error messages. If Xero rejects an invoice, Glide now tells you exactly why.

CALENDAR

  • Deadlines & Targets Calendar. A new full-screen monthly calendar, found in the menu as "Calendar". It shows deadlines, targets and task due dates together, and you can add your own scheduler entries on top.

  • Filter it your way. View all jobs, the jobs you're linked to, or the jobs you hold. You can also view the calendar as a colleague would see it, and filter by system, sub-system, route and office. Each type of entry can be switched on or off.

  • Detail at a glance. Each entry shows the client, system, job and stage, plus a comment count badge. Hover over an entry for full details, including where a job currently is. Click it to open the job card, the task or the scheduler entry.

  • Busy days kept tidy. Days with lots of entries show a short summary such as "+ 12 deadlines / 4 targets". Click it to see a searchable, grouped list for that day.

  • Shareable and savable. The address bar always matches your current view, so you can bookmark it or send it to a colleague. You can also save views and come back to them later.

JOBS & THE POOL

  • New Pool Jobs screen. A modern view of the jobs waiting in the pool. It can show one system or several pools together, and includes target dates, the latest comment, partner and manager (including teams), and a "My office" filter. Click Take to give yourself a job and go straight to its job card. The Workflows menu now links here.

  • Client code column on Pool Jobs. Client codes now have their own column, so you can sort and search by them. The Type column is hidden when every row would show the same type, which leaves more room for the rest.

  • Choose routes when creating ad-hoc jobs. When you create a job by hand in a system with several sub-systems, you can now pick which route each sub-system uses.

  • Job card shows the latest comment. The job card pop-up now shows the job's comment count as a clickable badge, with the latest comment underneath.

  • Sticky notes update comment counts straight away. Adding a sticky note now updates the job's comment count and latest comment on job lists and the Job Board immediately.

WORKFLOW SETUP

  • Alert wizard. Setting up an automated alert now takes you through a guided 7-step wizard. It shows a live preview of the template, including the signature and send options. It also warns you if an SMS is too long, if a template needs details that the chosen recipient might not have, or if the trigger is unlikely to fire at the stage you expect.

  • Automatic job progression wizard. Automatic job progressions now have a matching 4-step wizard with the same checks, so you can set them up with confidence.

  • Job Position Configuration report. A new report shows how each job position is set up across all of your systems side by side. This makes it easy to check that each position is used the same way everywhere. You'll find it under the new "Workflow configuration" section of Advanced Reports.

  • Clearer job position settings. Two confusingly named job position settings have been removed from the system editor. Positions that used them keep working exactly as before.

EMAILS & SENDING RULES

  • New Sending Rules editor. A new screen for superusers brings every Advanced Sending Rule together in one place, at the system, office and template levels.

  • Office-level defaults. Each office can now have its own "from" name, "from" address and signature. These are used when a template doesn't have its own rule.

  • "Which rules will apply?" tester. Choose a template and an office to see exactly which name, address and signature an email will be sent with.

  • Rich signature editing. System and office signatures now use a full formatting editor, with a wide preview so you can see exactly how they'll look.

  • Email details are kept in full. Glide now tells you if an email address or subject is too long to save, instead of quietly shortening it.

BILLING & XERO

  • Clear Xero error messages. When Xero rejects an invoice, Glide now shows you Xero's reason in plain English, including problems on individual line items. It also gives tips for common issues such as expired connections or Xero outages.

  • Failed invoices are easy to spot. The invoice page shows a red warning. On the billing summary, affected rows are flagged and the Xero button turns red. The new billing screen also tells you clearly when an invoice was created but not sent to Xero.

  • More accurate Glide Time targets. The "actual" figures in Glide Time weekly targets now match the Time column in the Inputs report. Expenses, credit notes and advance time are no longer counted as time.

REPORTS

New reports

  • Services Provided. A redesigned report that shows which services each client receives. It has summary tiles you can click into, a detailed table, filters for partner, manager, office and client, exports, and saved configurations. It's also much faster.

  • Fee Info / Projected Billing. A redesigned report with a summary of clients, fee lines, and projected and actual totals. Click a client to see their fee lines. It includes exports and saved configurations.

  • Fee Info Monthly. The monthly fee view has the same modern redesign, covering a full 12-month window.

  • Workday Patterns. This report shows everyone's timesheet minutes required for each day of the week in one grid, with weekly totals. Staff who are still on the default pattern are highlighted so you can spot them easily. It's available to superusers under Glide Time on Advanced Reports.

Improved reports

  • Advanced Progress Overview. On tax year systems, the report now includes completion stages and can show each count as a percentage of the column total. You can now filter by job position and job holder, including teams. The office filter now uses the job's office, and all report options sit in a tidy collapsible panel.

  • Passthrough Report. You can now leave the stage selection empty to count activity across every stage, for example "how much did each person do in this sub-system?". There's also a new filter at the top to limit the whole report to one person or team.

  • Event Log. You can now filter by every type of event, grouped into clear categories. A new page selector lets you jump straight to any page, and client names appear consistently throughout.

  • Missing Trigger Dates. This report now uses "System" and "Sub-system" wording, only checks active systems, only shows the office filter when offices are in use, and adds pagination. It's also much faster.

  • Clients and Contacts. A new "Link description" column shows how each contact is linked to a client. You can also save your filter settings, and export titles have been improved.

  • Saved reports with rolling dates. Saved report configurations can now use rolling dates such as "this quarter", "last year" or "N months ago". Your saved reports will always cover the right period.

  • Traffic Lights report. Clicking a traffic light number in the menu bar opens the report correctly again.

Query editor

  • Sort stages in workflow order. Sorting the Stage column in Jobs and Sub-Jobs queries now follows your workflow order instead of alphabetical order.

  • New sub-job date fields. You can now add columns and filters for next target, next deadline, the earlier of the two, last stage change, last holder change and last step taken. Each field comes with a matching "days to" or "days since" figure. For example, you can filter on "days to target is less than 0" to find overdue work.

DASHBOARDS

  • Redesigned "Add Widget" dialog. Search for a system or sub-system, then pick from the widgets for that area only. Team widgets are grouped together, and you choose the team from a separate list. Older tax years are hidden unless you ask to see them, which keeps the list short.

  • Duplicate dashboards and templates. You can now make a copy of a dashboard template from Dashboard Management, or copy one of your own dashboards from your profile's Options tab.

  • Template names keep their spaces. Dashboard template names are now saved exactly as you type them, including spaces and common punctuation.

SEARCH

  • Smarter job ranking. Within each client, active jobs now appear before completed jobs, and completed jobs appear before deleted ones. Your current work is always at the top. Completed jobs no longer show out-of-date red indicators.

  • Office filter only when you use offices. The search office filter now appears only if your practice uses multiple offices.

CLIENTS & CONTACTS

  • Upgrade a contact to an individual client. The "Upgrade to Individual client" button works again for everyone with permission to change client status. It gives clear messages if the client code is already taken, and each conversion is recorded in the event log.

IMPORTING

  • Large import spreadsheets fixed. Import templates with a very large number of columns now line up correctly, so every field imports as expected.

  • "Show Warnings" always works. The Show Warnings button on the client import preview now works for every practice, whatever your custom field names are.
