The New Job Board

The Jobs Held Board has been completely re-imagined as a modern, drag-and-drop Job Board.

See your jobs as cards on a board, grouped by person, office, workflow system, stage or position, or laid out by target and deadline dates. Drag and drop to reassign work. Drag a card from one person's column to another to change the job holder. Glide records the change in the logs, and even offers to reallocate the previous holder's other job positions at the same time.

  • A proper Pool column. Jobs in the pool get their own column: drag jobs into the pool to make them available to the team, or drag one out to pick it up.

  • An Unassigned column on position boards, kept on the left where you can see it, so nothing sits forgotten without an owner.

  • Powerful filtering in a tidy slide-in panel: filter by team, office, stage (multi-select), region, sub-system or a client search, with an "Include linked?" option and an All / Linked / Held personal scope.

  • Flexible date views. Filter by how close jobs are to their dates, with multi-select proximity options and fully custom from/to ranges.

  • A draggable stage ladder lets you narrow the board to a window of stages, with the system's usual visible-stage band marked so out-of-the-ordinary jobs stand out.

  • Smarter cards. Cards show the stage description, job date, age in days, a traffic-light urgency dot, and Companies House validation status; the card popup shows how long a job has been at its stage and with its holder.

  • Save your favourite boards. Save a board set-up (including relative date ranges like "next 30 days"), reopen it from a menu, update it in place or save as a copy, and delete ones you no longer need.

Search, Transformed

The global search box in the header bar has been rebuilt into a much more powerful tool:

  • Smarter matching and ranking — results are ordered by how well they match, and jobs are ranked by urgency, so the result you want is at the top.

  • New search scopes, including searching by National Insurance number and UTR, plus an office filter.

  • Personal filters: "I am partner", "I am manager" and "I am linked" toggles show just the clients and jobs that involve you.

  • Richer results: client results show partner, manager and office; job results show the stage and current holder (including Pool and teams).

  • Keyboard friendly: arrow through results, and press J on a client to jump straight to their jobs.

Scheduler: Repeating Events

  • Recurring events have arrived. Set an event to repeat daily, weekly, monthly and more, Outlook-style — and Glide creates the whole series for you. Edit or delete a single occurrence or the entire series, and the pattern can be changed at any time.

  • Excel export fixed up. The Scheduler exports no longer produce blank events or row headers, category colours come through correctly, and exporting the 15-minute view no longer fails.

  • Configurable day hours – you can now set the start and end visible hours for the scheduler day view.

New Reports & Pages

  • Tax Performance. A modern successor to the Personal Tax Performance report, with milestone stage labels, an on-time analysis option and click-through drill-downs.

  • Pass-through Report. The pass-through report has been rebuilt and has a new look, additionally you can now save multiple named configurations and switch between them.

  • Recently filed according to Companies House. A new report showing clients with recent Companies House filings, with filing-type and date-range filters and saveable set-ups.

  • WIP / Cost drill analysis. New drill-in analysis pages for digging into WIP and cost figures.

  • Charge Rates report – now shows an "Importance Order" column on the right-hand side, so you can see at a glance the priority order of each charge rate.

  • User Activity report – a new superuser-only report showing logins and an activity heatmap, with a "most days active" ranking, an active-users summary, office and initials columns, and an Excel export. For long date ranges it reads the activity archive so the history goes back further.

  • Traffic Lights report (rebuilt) – the high-priority jobs drill-in has been replaced with a modern report showing high-priority jobs by deadline urgency. For each job it shows the deadline driving its traffic light (name, date, days remaining or overdue), colour summary boxes, a clickable per-system breakdown and inline comments. The deadline "lights" in the menu bar now open this report pre-filtered by colour.

  • Tax Tracker – a new report for tax-year-based workflow systems, giving you an at-a-glance view of where each client sits in the tax-year process.

  • Phase-Based Turnaround – a flexible, configurable turnaround report. You can define your own phases (each with its own name), pick the start and end points, and save your favourite configurations to re-use later.

  • Two Factor Authentication Report (in the Users section) – shows which users have two-factor authentication set up. Visible to super users only.

  • Non-Productive Time Analysis – breaks down non-chargeable/non-productive time.

  • Missing Trigger Dates – highlights jobs that are missing their trigger dates so nothing slips through the net.

  • Weekly Time-Recording Goal & League – set a weekly time-recording goal and see a league table, including a historical week-by-week view.

Dashboard Widgets

  • New Target Monitor widget – a dashboard widget that monitors progress against targets, with a totals row, dividers, and a "No Target" badge that links straight through to the matching jobs.

  • "View as Team" everywhere – the "view as a team" option has now been rolled out across the remaining dashboard widgets (my tasks, tasks for others, the staff-holding, deadline, target, stage-analysis, jobs-linked and calendar panels, and the optimised deadline/target widgets), with a consistent team picker and a clear dashboard-wide indicator.

  • Dashboard templates – the template management page has been modernised, and templates can now be linked, re-synced and viewed live.

  • Widget comment fixes – fixed the widget comment pop-up not reopening without a page refresh, cleared up stale comment caching and double-encoded characters, and added a system option to show precise times instead of "x minutes ago".

Report Improvements

  • Phase-Based Turnaround now has Excel exports, clickable KPI drill-ins and tidier name formatting, and it runs faster; also fixed the filter dropdowns not opening after scrolling the page.

  • Traffic Lights report: a new Stage column shows exactly where the driving deadline sits in the workflow, with tighter dates and a more readable layout.

  • Weekly Time-Recording League: you can now filter the league by team.

  • Query editors: the latest comment and comment count are now available as outputs and filters, and the "Other" client type is shown and filterable properly.

  • Faster reports across the board. Several reports that used to be slow have been substantially sped up. The Tax Tracker in particular is now dramatically quicker on large practices.

  • Download to CSV. Many reports now offer a reliable "Export to CSV" download that streams the data straight to your computer, so even very large exports no longer time out or run out of memory. This now covers Time Analysis, Time Summary, Billing Summary, Fees, Expenses, All WIP, Staff Productivity, Client Profitability, Services Provided and more.

  • "Create Report" first. Reports now wait for you to set your filters and click Create Report before fetching data, and the CSV download button only appears once a report has actually run – so you don't accidentally export an empty or stale report.

  • Better Reset Filters. The Reset Filters button now properly clears the on-screen filters and restores sensible default date ranges (typically the last month) instead of silently re-running.

  • Jobs Excel export now uses a per-system column layout when you're viewing a single system, so the export matches what you see on screen.

  • Various smaller fixes, including the "entries per page" dropdown occasionally going blank, bunched-up column headers, and CSV cells being properly cleaned so spreadsheets open them safely.

Workflows, Jobs & Systems

  • New workflow action – a "Traffic Light (Missing tag or email)" action that flags jobs whose client is missing a required tag or email address.

  • "Next target date" filter – the Systems screen now has a per-discipline "Next target date" range filter, including a "No target set" mode for jobs with no target date. The jobs grid no longer includes completed-stage jobs when this filter is in use.

  • Client Info – a client record now shows a count of active workflow systems alongside the active jobs total, and active job counts on each workflow tab.

Clients & Data

  • Bulk client-code updates: a new Excel import tool lets you update client codes in bulk, and every code change is now recorded in the client's event log.

  • Client import improvements: partner and manager changes made via import can now cascade to job holders.

  • Tag auditing: Glide now records who applied a tag to a client or contact, and when.

  • Tidier client fields: the Mobile, Telephone and E-mail field tags can now only be used once each, keeping client data consistent.

  • Job offices: change the office linked to a job straight from the job card, and the Pool screen now shows an office column for multi-office practices.

  • Companies House data tool: a new admin tool fills in missing client dates (year ends, confirmation statements and more) directly from Companies House.

  • Faster job deletion: occasional slowdown on job deletion issue now resolved

  • The Pool screen no longer shows comments from deleted jobs, and the client-code uniqueness check no longer wrongly flags the client you're editing.

Messaging

  • Duplicate a message template: the modern template editor now has a Duplicate tool, so you can build variations without starting from scratch.

API

  • Update clients by ID: a new endpoint lets integrations update a client using their Glide ID.

  • API key IP restrictions: limit access to set IP addresses or ranges of IP addresses

  • Added a new endpoint for client custom fields, and tidied up how default "dash" values are returned (now returned as blank).

Security & Permissions

  • New permission: "Can use bulk operations on the jobs list" lets you control who can make sweeping changes from the jobs list.

Other Improvements

  • An Offices link has been added to the Config menu.

  • Client comment counts are shown more tidily on client screens.

  • Behind the scenes, Glide now keeps much richer "last changed" information on every job (last stage change, last holder change, last event) — this powers the day counts on the new Job Board and future reporting.

  • Faster client information tabs – the tabs on a client record now load on demand, so the page opens more quickly.

  • Client and contact names are shown more consistently across reports.

  • Numerous smaller reliability fixes throughout the system.

  • Fixed issue where SSO systems still had password change functionality visible (was irrelevant).

  • Fixed issue with new staff holding widget where an office filter was set
